Michael Koenigs, Co-Founder
Michael is a father, ocean advocate and avid surfer. Michael was born and raised in Kapahulu where he grew up surfing, fishing and playing any sport outside. He was raised to respect, care for and cherish his home. He is now passing this responsibility on to all of Hawai’i by offering his values and knowledge to the community. He is dedicated to protecting and preserving the ocean for the future generations; education is key. Michael is always willing and ready to share information on the coral reefs and surf stories at any of the farmers markets.
We support local surfers who share the same passion for protecting Hawai'i' reefs and supporting local. They help us educate the community and share the stoke of good clean sunscreen! Most of all we love supporting them in what they love doing the most... SURFING!

Aloha, I’m a surfer girl born and raised on the Big Island of Hawaii. I started surfing at the age of 10 and been loving it and competing since then. I love the beach, the ocean and giving back by cleaning up Honoli’i beach every Saturday along with the rest of our crew called Basic Image.

I use Little Hands Hawaii sunscreen that doesn’t harm the reef and try to educate people about it. Because of my love for the ocean, I really want to be a professional surfer. I like to do beach clean ups.

My family is a surfing family. When I was little we went to the beach everyday after school. I started to ride a long board with my dad or mom when I was 4 years old. Then I got my first new shortboard when I was 7 years old. I love surfing because it’s hard to make a trick but when I make it, I feel like I accomplished a huge goal. My favorite surfer is John John Florence, one day I hope to be like him.

Started surfing when I was 5 years of age. My Mom and Dad pushed me to catch waves, taking me everywhere. When I was six, started catching waves on my own and standing up on the board. When I got my first board, I was so happy! If I caught 10 waves, my reward was a McFlurry, so I worked hard to get my McFlurries. Now, I love surfing so much that I don't need McFlurries to entice me. In my small way, whenever I see trash, I pick it up to keep our aina clean.
I use Little Hands Hawaii Sunscreen which is environmentally safe in our local waters, reef, and sea habitat.

Rico Jimenez, originally from the island of Kauai, now resides on Oahu as a full time RVCA advocate. When he’s not surfing, you can find him coaching and training at F-45. Passions include helping others to reach their full potential in and out of the water, as he works with RVCA’s youth surf team, guiding them as their mentor and as a coach at F-45. “I use Little Hands because not only does it not harm or damage the reefs I surf on, nor does it have any harmful ingredients that will jeopardize my health and well being, but it’s made by real people, who care about their children and the ocean, and that’s what motivated Little hands to start in the first place!”.

Kingston always refers to the ocean as "His Playground" and he feels that he has a responsibility to take care of it, even at such a young age. He makes it a point to pick up trash before or after each surf session and has no problems reminding people to do the same. He recycles plastics and aluminum, and uses a flask to avoid single use plastics as much as possible.
Yumi is an ocean lover and mermaid at heart! She teaches SUP Yoga (Stand Up Paddleboard Yoga). On her days off you can see her on her board somewhere in the pacific ocean!
Her passion for SUP yoga began 14 years ago when she used to compete tandem surfing. At that time, to pass time while waiting for the waves, she used to stretch and do yoga poses on her surfboard which led her to her falling in love with it, it was challenging and fun. With much practice and research, Yumi created her own “SUPer Yoga” sequences suitable for the board in the ocean for every level. In order to share her passion for SUP yoga with her friends, she became a certified and registered yoga teacher in 2012, and to ensure safety of her students she also received a lifeguard training certification.
She is also a certified personal trainer, water fitness instructor and aerial yoga/dance instructor.
